I often find weeds, grasses, and wildflowers growing right through the asphalt in many cities around the world. These are what I refer to as “urban wilds”. I'm intrigued and inspired by the defiance and determination of nature and see many allegories of hope in urban landscapes.

We need to continue to support public art and arts education to help foster the artistic temperament that shapes and defines our culture, promotes peace and prosperity, enriches our community, and builds bridges of understanding around the world.
