In the fall of 2012 Christos received a public art commission from the Josiah Quincy Elementary School in Boston, to create a permanent outdoor mosaic mural for a small park area along Oak Street in Downtown Boston. This was the beginning of a 4 year partnership to provide arts instruction to BPS students and led to the creation of 4 permanent works of public art for the school and the City of Boston.
Working with ARCK Boston (Art Resource Collaborative for Kids) Christos volunteered to lead a mosaic class for the Gardner Pilot Academy in the Allston neighborhood of Boston.
Christos created a new painting based on weeds and wildflowers he found growing along Washington Street in Boston to help raise money for The Washington Gateway Main Street organization, which is dedicated to improving the economic vitality and quality of life for businesses and residents in Boston's historic South End.
